It seems that being married to a French man makes Salma Hayek feel right at home in Paris and loosen up. Last Saturday, the Mexican beauty showed off her dancing and singing skills on French network TF1 as part of a fundraising gala titled 'The stars united for ELA,' which stands for European Association of Leukodystrophies. This group of diseases is genetic and affects the brain, especially in children. The special TV show was hosted by soccer superstar Zinedine Zedane, who is a longtime spokesperson for ELA, and featured a variety of French and international celebrities.
Salma arrived to the set joined by her businessman husband François-Henri Pinault and sang the bolero 'Historia de un amor' in Spanish along with singer and actor Florent Pagny. She then proceeded to dance a mix of sensuous salsa moves and pretty advanced ballroom dancing with a professional dancer while Pagny finished the song.
Impressive!

Once she finished her intervention, Salma told 'Le Parisien' newspaper that singing was a very hard challenge for her. "I was very nervous, it was my first time singing in front of a lot of people" she said.
The actress and producer says that even though her mother was an opera singer, she never thought about going into singing or dancing.
Hayek also told the paper that her participation in the ELA benefit was a last minute thing, so she didn't have much time to rehearse. "For the ELA show all the participants had three weeks to rehearse, while I only had two days, and was a bit sick" she said.
Salma decided to support ELA because her husband knows members of the executive board of the organization, and she herself has visited sick children and their parents. "That touched me a lot, and I was very impressed with medical advancements and the types of treatments they're using" she added.
We'd like to see her dance and sing more here in America, she's good!

Awesome... I had a feeling she could dance Salsa, but was surprised she could sing. That said, she has a gorgeous speaking voice, so I should have guessed. Wow, Selma, how about an album in spanish.
