On a promotional tour for her film, 'Colombiana (The Colombian),' Zoe Saldaña visited the studios of the Univision morning show 'Despierta America (Wake Up America).' But during the interview with host Raul Gonzalez and guest host and Mexican pop singer Jimena, the actress of Dominican heritage received an unexpected twist to the interview, so much so that she would end up in tears.
In a moment that caught the actress off guard, Gonzalez asked that, while she looked into the camera, she say a few words to her mother. The moment quickly went from laughter to tears when to the right of the actress, onscreen, via satellite from New York, was her mother, Azalia, along with the actress's father, Dagoberto, her grandmother, Argentina Cesse and her nephew Jose.
Although at first the surprise provoked laughter and joy, the moment took an emotional, tearful turn when her mother said, "I thank you for choosing me as your mother. God does not claim anyone's work from them, and you have worked very hard to have what you've got. I congratulate you, and I love you."
Her father also sent Saldaña a heartfelt message, prompting more tears.
"One secret I can share about Zoe is that I can assure you that no one in Hollywood or anywhere else in the world works as hard as she does. If she continues to cling to God and her family values, this is only the beginning. There is much more to come."

Quite lovely. A reminder that: a son is a son till he takes a wife; a daughter is a daughter all of her life. No conozco Zoe Saldana pero ahora quiero aprendar mas de ella.
shes a bi*ch. my aunt opened a limo door for her and she said she was really rude to her and called her stupid. i hate actresses who act sweet on cam and then truly are ugly inside.
Hey Joey, be a real man and say that shit in front of some hispanics. But you won't because you only have balls when you're hiding behind a computer. While I agree that she's not as beautiful as some people claim, I keep trying to convince myself it's probably because they weren't as lucky as I was to grow up in a Spanish community with real gorgeous women. You probably wouldn't know what to do with a real woman.

Ugh. It's annoying when they keep refering to a woman as the "beauty". Like that's her name or that is all she is.

Only because the husband can't see his mother because the wife demands that they only visit her side.
