SAO PAULO - American Alyssa Campanella joins the list of favorites to beat among the 89 candidates vying for the Miss Universe 2011 crown on Monday, Sept. 12 from the Credicard Hall.

Campanella, who still relishes her June 19 Miss USA 2011 victory, beat out 51 beauties for the title. She is also emerging as a strong candidate to win the coveted Universe crown.

According to pageant insiders, the California girl has all the physical attributes to win, but she also has something special - a personality suited perfectly for the role. Campanella also possesses a distinct social acumen, a decisive factor in the altruistic stewardship that represents the worldwide face of Donald Trump's Miss Universe Organization.
