Maria Conchita Alonso & Sean Penn Get Into Airport Scuffle

Travelers at Los Angeles' International Airport got quite an earful recently when Maria Conchita Alonso and Sean Penn traded verbal jabs at the luggage carousel. Screaming loudly, Maria called Sean "a communist," while he labeled her "a pig."

The root of the argument stemmed from the two stars' political beliefs. Alonso had publicly criticized Penn for appearing alongside controversial Venezuelan president, Hugo Chavez. Clearly Sean didn't appreciate her remarks and let her know it when they came face to face at the airport.

"He goes, 'I don't want to talk to you. You speak badly about me,' " Maria recounted. "So I'm like, 'You are in favor of Hugo Chavez. And, you know, he's like 'You're a pig.' And I go to him, 'And you are a communist, Sean Penn!'"

Interestingly, Alonso and Penn played lovers in the 1988 film Colors. Though after this incident, we doubt they'll be getting together for any future onscreen flings.

You want us to believe Maria Conchita Alonso and Sean Penn were waiting at a baggage carousel at LAX? What recognizable movie star stands anywhere near that area of an airport -- at over-crowded Christmas time! (I guess they were both flying into LA for the holidays)

if a regular person got into a scuffle at an airport that person ,knowing the tsa mentality would be thrown into prison . it makes you sick what celebrities get away with .

Maria Conchita Alonso is correct. Sean Penn is an anti-american pig. These communist "celebs" make me ill. No grasp of reality.

I agree with you about Sean Penn!! His & his ilk should pack up and leave the United States!! However we all know he and the rest could not live else where and have the freedom they now have!!!

Wasn't Penn the one that swore he was going to leave the country for good if a particular thing took place. Can't remember exactly what that thing was but it appears his big mouth hasn't changed any. I wish he had left the country. He's always been a punk and will always be a punk.
