Some days ago, Marc Anthony's ex-wife Dayanara Torres' father, Jose, underwent open-heart surgery. The former Miss Universe shared the news herself with her Twitter followers, making a special request: that her followers pray for her father's health.
Although Jose is now stable, but guarded, Marc Anthony is no stranger to what is going on and has been kept in the loop about his former father-in-law's condition, according to a person in Dayanara's inner circle.
"Marc calls Dayanara more than once a day to ask about her father's health and has made himself openly available for anything both her or her family need", the source, who requested anonymity, said.
The source also revealed that since Marc's split from pop diva Jennifer Lopez, relations with Dayanara have improved tremendously, that they've become very close friends and that they spend quite a bit of time with Marc and Dayanara's two children. Marc is also said to be visiting his former father-in-law soon to show solidarity.
Marc and Dayanara married in 2000. The couple's marriage was rocky and, although they have two children together, Cristian and Ryan, Dayanara filed for divorce in January 2004.
Very good for Marc Anthony to be close to his Ex- and for his 2 children there. As for the visit with the ex-father in law, sweet. Shows he cares and has concerns about the family. Maybe, Marc Anthony might go back to his Ex- JoLo Lopez, I know that you love to be out there, even that you have that you have children with Marc Anthony, maybe, you can still be nice to him, especially for the sake of your children. Bad video with Pitbull, you trashed yourself big time.
I think Marc supporting his ex as a friend is a very nice thing for him to do. The absolute best thing he can do for their children together. I wasn't all that sure I cared much for Marc while he and Jennifer were together , but I realized with their split , he deserves much more respect than I ever had for Jennifer , who flaunts her young lover in his childrens faces , even before they are officially divorced. As in some cases , maybe being friends will be much better for Dayanara and Marc than marriage was. Good luck to them all , especially Her dad who is ill.
Wow, many of you women are so amazingly naive. When it still actually mattered this notoriously selfish and controlling man didn't hesitate to abandon her and their kids for a better gig, yet the second her precious daddy's health reminds her that he indeed won't live forever and Marc shows the slightest interest then he morphs back into a wonderful man again. Clowns, all this story proves is that Dayanara is no less gullible and emotionally needy than most women, a fact that men take advantage of time and time again. Life's too short to be bitter? You must learn to forgive and forget? Whatever, famous last words of the weak and the foolish are all that crap represents. Oh well, he'll be saying hurtful things and making her weep soon enough, doormat that she is.
Sorry hon, but Marc Anthony moves in a glitzy world full of shallow and self-absorbed people yet possesses an ego that rarely fails to stand out. You may not be familiar with the details, but long story short he's not "a hell of a guy" in any way outside of the fact that beautiful, dense women are dumb enough to swallow his line of b.s. time and again. Now you know, make the effort to get your facts straight in future before posting erroneous nonsense.
I was a Marc Anthony fun til he married Jennifer. I'm glad she made it big in the entertainment world but their marriage was determined to fail, because ones doesn't interfere in between a trouble marriage and she did so Kalma always come back. I'm very sad 'cause there're kids who don't deserve to be without their parents. I hope Marc A has learned his lesson and do it better the next time around he deserve to be happy as well as his exs.................... God bless them all
It is quite common for those who have been in a meaningful relationship, share children, etc to support an ex when difficulties arise. I feel Marc is doing what anyone would do for someone he loved and has children with. I have supported an ex fiance off and on throughout the years because I still care what happens to him and his family. He was a very important part of my life at one time and we still talk. My husband knows him and also supports my keeping in contact with him. He was there when I lost my mom and his and his wife's support meant a great deal to me. Good going Marc! God bless the family and prayers for a speedy recovery to her father.

Too bad he didn't support her while they were married. Then he wouldn't have yet another divorce under his belt.

Good for Marc Anthony. I am still friends with my partner of 20 yrs. There is enough hate and ugliness in the world.
