As AOL Musica told you exclusively, Jennifer Lopez was invited to participate in Rio de Janeiro's Carnival by Brazil's most important beer producer, Brahma for an estimated $2 million.
The most well-known stars have danced in the Sambadrome, a parade area in Downtown Rio de Janeiro. This year, the first to be invited by the brewer was Jennifer, who arrived in Rio accompanied by her inseparable young boyfriend Casper Smart.
The dancer and the superstar stayed at the exclusive Ipanema hotel as they got ready to take advantage of the first night of Carnival and see the Samba schools Beija Flor, Portela, Imperatriz Leopoldinense y Renacer all pay tribute to renowned artist Romero Britto. We've got all the details of Jennifer's first day at Carnival, including video and photos.
Jennifer and Casper arrived at the Sambadrome in a black truck and escorted by about 10 security agents. Under the glare of camera bulbs that awaited the pair near their skybox for the event, the couple posed for everyone to snap pictures, gave brief interviews and went directly to their skybox afterward to catch the parades.
With Brahma associates in hand, the couple was very social. Lopez snapped images on her cellular phone, sent text messages and even danced a bit as the music took her over. Smart, on the other hand, didn't look like he was having much fun at all. In fact, during the whole time they were alone, he chose to stay on the sidelines, looking at the parades at times and at others the ceiling.
Among other stars who will join Lopez are Ricky Martin and Shakira, who were already confirmed for the event and would likely have a way better time than Casper.
