Salma Hayek dons milk mustache for bilingual 'Got Milk?' ads

The milk mustache has a new ally in the quest to promote the health of a cold glass to drink up.
In the latest installment of the 'Got Milk?' campaign, Mexican actress
Salma Hayek dons a frothy stache for the new Breakfast Project, which is intended to promote drinking milk during the first meal of the day. Hayek will be a bilingual spokeswoman for the Spanish-English television, print and online ad campaigns.
The
New York Times reports that the focus of the breakfast campaign goes beyond targeting specific groups, such as mothers and teens, painting a broader stroke on the health benefits of drinking a glass of milk, while incorporating a full breakfast into the regimen, something many Americans choose to skip in the morning.
According to The New York Times, in one advertising spot, Salma recalls her childhood and her mother exclaiming to her, "Come drink your milk." In another more humorous spot, Salma opens her refrigerator to find an empty milk container. Panicked, she makes a frantic run in the middle of the night for milk, even attempting to stop a milk truck before its delivery run, her hair standing on end.
The Times said that representatives from Siboney USA, a Hispanic media group, interviewed Hispanic families in Houston, Miami and New York during breakfast. Those interviews concluded that the breakfast theme resonated strongly among Hispanic moms.
Beginning in March, the ads will appear in magazines like Parenting, Reader's Digest and People en Español. Television campaigns will promote the Hayek milk ads on 'Good Morning America,' 'Today,' and Univision's 'Despierta America,' among others.
Salma is not the first Latina to don a milk mustache. Last year,
Sofia Vergara and
her mother took part in ad campaigns targeting mothers to promote healthier choices, including milk, for their children. Sofia also participated in the ads with her son, Manolo.

I no longer drink milk because I don't want to contribute to the suffering of dairy cows. They are forced year after year to give birth only to have their babies ripped away from them. They cry for their babies for weeks. The babies are usually left to die or killed for gluttonious people to have their veal. The cows are pumped full of antiobiotics and hormones that make them produce more milk that causes their udders to drag along the ground. I can live without it and so can you. Their milk is for their babies like breast milk is for human infants.

I was trying to find a reason to disagree but could not cus everything you said is spot on and just to add to that, the milk is not healthy for human consumption, but of course the average mind person will have not understanding of this.

Thanks that just means there is more for me and my family. And by the way we love veal and meat and busting the heck out of deer and anything else we can kill and eat.

I totally agree rugbymom!!! Not only to the cows suffer tremendously, but the milk is filled with nasty hormones and will cause cancer. Shame on these celebrities to endorse such a harmful product

Milk causes cancer. Dr. Colin T. Campbell found that cancer growth can be turned on with dairy protein. Read the book The China Study. The milk industry doesn't care about you. It just cares about making money.

Cancer can be caused by so many things. The sun, for instance, or your phone. At least milk tastes good. As does cheese. And yogurt. And butter.
