It's been awhile since we've seen her, at least this way. Sofia Vergara posed for the cover of 'Esquire' magazine in a very sexy photo shoot captured by photographer Jane White.
Dressed in black lingerie, the Colombian actress showed off her best assets for the men's magazine, and she also dropped some helpful hints for American men who want to date Latinas.
The interview explored why Sofia, since 'Modern Family' became a household name with comedic turn as Gloria, won the public's hearts and made American men stand up and take notice of Latina women as wives. Vergara schools the American man on how to understand and accept Latinas.
Writer Cal Fussman opens the interview with is own experience, admitting he first fell in love with Latinas when, on the big screen, he met Sonia Braga in the 1976 film 'Doña Flor and Her Two Husbands' and how he dreamt that someone would cook for him the way she did. Ultimately, the writer would marry a Brazilian woman, looking for his Sonia.
"It is important to accept that Latina women are bipolar," a cheeky Sofia explains.
As the interview continues, the conversation revolves around how an American can hope to understand and live with a Latina, and the conditions by which an Anglo-Saxon male is accepted by a hot-blooded woman.
Sofia then recounts her surprise when she first saw that in the United States she was seen as a bit of a screamer, literally, and how she fought with her sister, a friend or someone close to her only to end up laughing before long.
"I didn't even know that it was something strange or crazy until I got here. Where I come from, [crazy] isn't out of the ordinary. Everyone is like that. You forget about what bothers you. It's not like you, who keeps it bottled up inside," she explained.
The actress and entrepreneur also dropped some important advice for men who want to be with -- and stay with -- a Latin woman by his side, particularly allowing them to be sexy, not worry if other men look at them and, above all, to let them dance and attempt to dance with them.
"I really don't care if my boyfriend is a great dancer, as long as he's got a great personality. But he's got to be willing to dance. All he has to do is get out there and move a little bit. If the guy doesn't care for dancing all that much, he should probably think twice about getting involved with a Latin woman. It could work at first, but you can't do that over 20 years. When my family celebrates Thanksgiving, we have a DJ," she tells Esquire.
And for those men who just want the nitty-gritty on how Latinas are sexually, Sofia let's you know that, too.
"At the end of the day, we all want to have sex in a romantic sense, but with a Latina you'll have more fun."
